Southeast Kansas and northeast Oklahoma could see 4 or more inches of rain this weekend. Some areas could see up to 6 inches, and up to 10 inches is locally possible in northeast Oklahoma.
A flood watch is in effect starting tonight for Elk, Chautauqua, Wilson, Montgomery, Neosho and Labette Counties in Kansas and Osage, Washington, Nowata, Craig and Ottawa Counties and areas south in Northeast Oklahoma. The watch will continue through Monday night.
The greatest potential for rain will start tonight and continue through Monday evening. Coffeyville has about a 90% chance to get 4 inches of rain or more.
On Monday, severe weather is possible for the four-state area during the afternoon and evening with all hazards possible including tornadoes.
