Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Issues Notice of Stray Cattle Found

 

 The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office says it has received notice of stray cattle found between Scammon and West Mineral on Wednesday.

 

 Officials say the owner has 10 days to claim the livestock by law. They mjust provide acceptable and satisfactory evidence of ownership to the Sheriff's Office and the Kansas State Animal Health commissioner to reclaim the animals.

 

If the owner does not come forward or is not found, the cattle may be sold at pulic auction.
