The months from October through December in Kansas are the months that deer are most frequently on the move.
The daylight Saving Time change also means that commuters on their way to and from work tend to be on the roads at the same times deer are moving. Shawn Steward with Triple-A Kansas says drivers need to pay close attention especially at dawn and dusk this time of year.
Steward also advises that drivers reduce their speed near wooded areas, use their bright lights when possible, and to ensure all vehicle occupants wear their seat belts..
