An Oklahoma grass fire that began Tuesday near Wynona and moved quickly toward Pawhuska has been extinguished thanks to recent rainfall.
The large fire burned nearly 4,000 acres and left a path of destruction in its wake. Osage County Emergency Manager Jerry Roberts says he doesn't yet know the number of structures that have been damaged.
Roberts added that he hopes the recent rainfall combined with the upcoming rains this weekend will lessen drought conditions across the area.
