A thunderstorm system brings severe weather to southeast Kansas and northeast Oklahoma.
Last night's storms brought heavy rains, tornado warnings and power outages to the area. A storm system that moved through Ottawa County in northeast Oklahoma brought a tornado warning for the cities of Fairland, Afton, and Bernice while that same storm later moved into southwest Missouri, prompting the issuance of another tornado warning in the Springfield area. The storm system also left more than 2,000 electric customers in the Miami area without power.
In the Coffeyville area, the KGGF indoor rain gauge indicated more than 1.5 inches of rain last night.
