One week after announcing his retirement at the end of the latest city council meeting, Caney City Administrator Kelley Zellner continues the process of water and housing projects, while working to hand over the reigns to the next administrator.

 Zellner says the position of city admin is not an old man's job.

 Zellner says it was becoming clear to him that he needed to retire sooner than later.

 Zellner says Caney is moving in the right direction, not only with their water situation and agreement with the city of Coffeyville, but with new and rehabilitated housing. He adds that those two issues were the ones he was asked by previous councils to help fix. Zellner wishes the next city admin the best of luck.
