There will be no school in Neodesha on Friday.
The reason? The Neodesha High School girls varsity volleyball team is headed to the 2024 3-A State Tournament. The Lady Bluestreaks beat Caney and Garden Plain in sub-state play over the weekend to take the sub-state crown and advance to the state tournament with a regular season record of 38 wins and only three losses.
The team will travel to Hutchinson Community College on Friday for the state tournament with games at 4:30, 6:30, and 8:30pm.
