A woman is dead after walking into a running airplane propeller in Derby on Saturday.

 The accident happened around 2:45 on Saturday afternoon at Cook Airfield in Derby. The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Department responded to the call and say the woman was taking pictures when she walked into the propeller and was critically injured. She was taken to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.
