City crews in Independence have been busy with various projects around the city.

 City Engineer John Garris says work crews have been busy in the past couple of weeks.

Garris also says that the recent drought conditions in Montgomery County may mean Independence faces a water warning in the coming weeks if the hot, dry weather persists.
