Authorities in Rose Hill say they are continuing to investigate the discovery of a child's remains found buried in the backyard of a Rose Hill home in September.

 Rose Hill Police Chief Taylor Parlier says the investigation now involves a geographical area outside of Rose Hill and the state of Kansas. The remains belong to Kennedy Jean Schroer who is suspected to have died in 2020 when she would have been six years old. Police say the child's adoptive parents have been responsive to investigators.
