Thousands packed downtown Independence for another night of Neewollah.

The Doo Dah Parade drew many as the adults took center stage walking down Penn Avenue. This year's theme was “Just Elfin' Around” and many participants dressed in Christmas or Disney attire. Parade updates were broadcast by KGGF staff on Greatest Hits 104.1.

Today the carnival will open earlier at 3 p.m. and go until 10, and the kiddie parade will start at 4 p.m. On the bandstand tonight is the CM Johnson Band at 5, Straight Away at 6:30, Tonganoxie Split at 8 and Martin & The Dead Guys at 9:30. It all happens in downtown Independence.
