Two are injured in an accident involving a horse-drawn buggy.

The accident happened around 8:15am this morning on Highway 400 near the intersection of Highway 169. A 2023 Ford Escape, driven by Landin Rayne Knickerbocker was eastbound on 400 and struck the back of the buggy.

The impact caused significant damage to the buggy. The occupants, Elizabeth and Priscilla Schwartz were transported to Labette Health in Parsons with suspected serious injuries. Knickerbocker was not injured. Local law enforcement is currently investigating the accident.
