Kansas legislators prepare for the upcoming session.
Lawmakers in Kansas have been spending their time since this summer's special session adjourned preparing for the 2025 session. In the interim, lawmakers usually spend their time meeting in special committees to discuss issues assigned to them by Legislative leadership or by statute. This preparation is a large part of being ready for the Legislature to reconvene in January. State Representative Ron Bryce says tax reform remains a big priority for him.
The regular session of the Kansas Legislature begins on January 13.
