A southeast Kansas woman enters a plea of not guilty to murder charges in the death of a Labette County man.
47-year-old Kimberly Nibarger of Parsons faces charges in the April 2023 shooting death of 23-year-old Dakota Patton. Patton’s remains were found in a field in rural Neosho County on May 8, 2023. Authorities determined Patton had died of a gunshot wound.
Nirbarger’s husband Clint was also charged in the case and pleaded guilty to second-degree murder charges last week as part of a plea deal.
Kimberly Nibarger’s plea could mean her case could end up before a jury.
Both Nibargers were arrested in Taney County, Missouri, soon after Patton’s remains were discovered.
