A juvenile student is under arrest in Neosho for allegedly posting a hoax threat against Neosho Junior High

 The Neosho Police Department says the juvenile has been placed under arrest and referred to the Newton County Juvenile Office to face formal charges in the case. The incident began after a post was made on social media early last week that stated a shooting would take place at the school on October 16. Detectives who investigated the case determined that it was a hoax and that no real threat existed.

Neosho Police says that if the person in custody was an adult, they would be facing charges of making a terroristic threat.
