Several fire departments respond to a brush fire in rural Montgomery County.

On Saturday around 12:40 p.m., Dearing, Coffeyville, South Coffeyville and Tyro Rural responded to a grass fire that was threatening nearby structures in the area of County Road 1675 and 4100 in southern Montgomery County.  Through the collaborative effort of the responding agencies, the fire was contained and the structures were protected.  According to the Dearing Fire Department, around 3,700 gallons of water was used on the fire.
