Several counties in Oklahoma and Arkansas are under burn bans.

 

According to the latest information from Oklahoma Forestry Services, Washington, Craig, Ottawa, Mayes, Delaware and Adair Counties in northeast Oklahoma are currently under county burn bans.

 

The majority of Arkansas is under a burn ban, including Benton, Washington, Carroll and Madison Counties within the KGGF listening area.

 

There are no county burn bans in Kansas or Oklahoma at this time. Outdoor burning continues to be discouraged in the area due to dry conditions. The drought continues to spread, with more of Osage County, Oklahoma now included in extreme drought.
