All that goes on during Halloween can be stressful for pets.

Coffeyville Friends of Animals Board Director Becky Barnhart says no matter how cute a pet looks in a costume you don't want to leave them in it for too long.  Barnhart says the constant activity at the door, including knocking and ringing the doorbell, can stress a pet out.

Barnhart says to leave the candy out of the reach of any pets, especially chocolate from dogs.
