Osage County, Oklahoma, Commissioners meet and hear a report from a weekend event.
The commission meeting convened yesterday in Pawhuska and commissioners heard about a weekend event aimed at keeping the western way of life alive for women. The report on the event called the Art of the Cowgirl was given by organizer Laura Teague. Teague says the second year of the event saw an increase in attendance for several of the offered workshops.
Teague asked the commission for a donation to help defray costs, but District Two Commissioner Steve Talburt was concerned that it might look like the Board was showing favoritism. The request was tabled until the next meeting.
In other business, The Board was going to consider taking action on a revised budget from the sheriff's office, an email from the state auditor's office prompted commissioners to request some time to review that email before taking action.
