Montgomery County Commission Gives Final Approval for Industrial Revenue Bond for Bartlett

Montgomery County gives its final approval for Industrial Revenue Bonds for the new Bartlett Soybean Plant.

Representatives from Bartlett were on hand at yesterday's Montgomery County Commission meeting to gather signatures from commissioners and to thank Montgomery County for its support. Vice President of Bartlett Grain Company Bill Webster says the facility is up and running.

Also at the meeting was an attorney from the law firm Gilmore Bell. Sarah Steele says the agreement between Bartlett and the county is in place.

In other business, commissioners also heard an appeal from a citizen regarding a neighborhood revitalization plan and signed off on a resolution from County Treasurer Nancy Clubine to void uncashed checks over three years old written by the county.
