Two Arrested in Cherokee County After Storage Container Theft

 

 Two people are in custody in Cherokee County following a theft from a Columbus storage unit.

 

 The theft occurred on Tuesday when Cherokee County Sheriff's Deputies responded to reports of a stolen four-wheeler. Deputies developed a suspect after an investigation and went to a residence north of Columbus on Thursday where they discovered the suspect and another individual riding the stolen four-wheeler. The suspects fled into a wooded area where they abandoned the ATV and continued to flee.

 

The two were eventually tracked to a residence in Oswego where they were arrested.

 

Taken into custody were 27-year-old James Jameson of Columbus and 34-year-old Whitney Polk of Oswego. Jameson faces charges of Possessing Stolen Property and Felony Interference with Law Enforcement while Polk is being held on allegations of Felony Interference with Law Enforcement.
