The Independence City Commission is set to meet tonight for its regularly scheduled meeting.

 On tonight's agenda is a discussion on possibly approving a loan from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment to pay for sewer improvements and the possible awarding of a contract to build a pumping station related to the Big Straw water line project to the Bartlett plant.

The meeting begins at 5:30 this evening in the commission Room at City Hall in Independence. The public is invited to attend or to view the meeting online via the city's website at IndependenceKS.gov
