Montgomery County Commissioners conduct business in a brief meeting.

 

 At this week's meeting, commissioners heard from County Appraiser Melody Kikkert about the purchase of a new vehicle for the Appraiser's Office. Kikkert gave commissioners several bids to choose from. She

says the main requirement for her office is a vehicle that can maneuver on rough and sometimes muddy back roads.

 

Commissioners approved the purchase of a 2024 RAV-4 at a cost of $33,000. Also on this week's agenda was a slight change to a bridge repair project west of Bolton. Brandon Beurskins with Public Works says the change will bring the bridge up to current standards.

 

Commissioners approved that expense as well. In other business, a Montgomery County citizen spoke about a neighborhood revitalization project. Commissioners referred him to the County Appraiser's Office for help with his issue.
