The Oklahoma Transportation Commission approves nearly $9 billion in highway construction and safety projects in the newest edition of the Oklahoma Department of Transportation's Eight-Year Construction Work Plan.
The repairs and improvements are slated to be addressed through the year 2032. The plan includes more than 1,500 total projects and nearly 4,000 miles of roadway repair. The plan will also address needed repairs on more than 600 bridges across the Sooner State.
The plan includes projects in Nowata, Osage, Ottawa, and Washington counties.
