The Dalton Defenders Days Marching Festival takes place today at Veteran's Memorial Stadium in Coffeyville.
Dr. David Wiggins is organizing the event and says there will be a dozen bands performing and receiving feedback from some of the top band leaders in the region.
Wiggins says Coffeyville and Independence bands will be at the festival, but also says he likes to help out the smaller schools.
The public is invited to watch the performances today between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Veteran's Stadium. Admission is $5.

Altoona Midway - 8:30 a.m.
Chouteau - 9 a.m.
Nowata - 9:30 a.m.
Oklahoma Union - 10 a.m.
Riverton - 10:30 a.m.
Field Kindley - 11 a.m.
Oologah - 11:30 a.m.
Independence - Noon
Belle Plaine - 12:30 p.m.
Vinita - 1 p.m.
Dewey - 1:30 p.m.
Caney - 2 p.m.
