An attempted traffic stop in Joplin on Friday night ends with a high-speed chase and an arrest.

 Joplin Police attempted to pull over a driver suspected of Driving While Intoxicated on Friday night, when the driver fled. The SUV led police on a high-speed chase through the city, hitting speed in excess of 100mph.

After a nearly 20-minute chase, the driver abandoned the SUV an fled on foot. Using a K-9 officer, police were able to track the male suspect to a residence where he was taken into custody without further incident.
