Another Dalton Defenders Days is in the books.
That was the sound of the 132nd anniversary of the Dalton raid on Coffeyville. Reenactors put together a special 9:30 performance to commemorate the Dalton gang's failed raid of two Coffeyville banks. Crowds gathered to watch the four total reenactments. In addition, many food and craft vendors filled downtown in addition to the sound of several performers. The car show had 73 entries, and the Coffeyville Amateur Radio Club set up a special event station to commemorate the event and made more than 140 contacts with stations around North America.
