Residents and visitors to Coffeyville can step back in time tonight as Dalton Defender Days gets underway.

 

 Activities get underway this afternoon at 4pm in downtown Coffeyville. Organizer Richard Elliott says there will be lots of things to do and see, plus the first of four reenactments tonight.

 

Tomorrow's 9:30am reenactment will take place on the same date and at the same time as the original raid 132 years ago. There will also be reenactments at 2:30 and 5pm tomorrow. Participant Billy Kolb says the reenactments can be very exciting to watch.

 

Dalton Defender Days commemorate the lives lost by brave Coffeyville citizens who defended the town during the original raid on October 5, 1892.
