Fredonia City Commission Welcomes New City Administrator

The City of Fredonia welcomes its new City Administrator to his first commission meeting.

New City Administrator Evan Bolt attended his first city commission meeting last night. Bolt has only been on the job for a few days, but says he is happy to join the Fredonia team.

A native of Chanute, Bolt has spent the past several years working in city government positions in Colorado.

Much of last night's meeting was spent approving resolutions to add Bolt to the city administration. Bolt takes over for Interim City Administrator John Torline and replaces Wesley Young, who resigned in May to take a similar position in southeast Missouri.

In other business, the commission also approved a resolution to lower long-term fees at the city RV park from $600 to $450 per month. Commissioners also heard a presentation from a local man about various projects he would like to see done in Fredonia as well as other public comments.
