Tax revenues are up for the state of Oklahoma.
According to the State Treasurer's Office, tax receipts for September increased by $17 million over September 2023. That's an increase of 1.2% for a total of $1.49 billion dollars in tax revenue for the month.
The overall unemployment rate for the Sooner State decreased slightly over the summer, dropping to 3.4% from July to August. That is substantially less than the overall U.S. unemployment rate of 4.2%.
