DNA provides a new link in the cold case of a child kidnapped in Arkansas 29 years ago.
6-year-old Morgan Nicks disappeared while playing with friends during a little league baseball in Alma, Arkansas, in 1995. This week, Alma Police officially named Billy Jack Lincks as a suspect in the case.
Police say they were able to locate the truck owned by Lincks in 1995, though it has been sold several times. The current owner allowed detectives to search the truck in July 2020. The evidence was processed at a facility in Texas. In September of this year, the lab reported that hair evidence found in the truck belonged to Colleen Nick, one of her siblings, or one of her children. Colleen Nick is the mother of Morgan Nick. Police believe this evidence indicates that the missing child was in Linck's truck.
The investigation continues though Billy Jack Lincks died in 2000. Morgan Nicks has never been found.
