A Dewey woman dies in a two vehicle crash in Washington County.

The fatality crash happened at around 3:30am on US-75 two miles south of Bartlesville. A 1999 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 53-year-old Paula Zimmer was eastbound on West 2400 Road. A 2015 GMC Sierra driven by 57-year-old Brian Werts, of Bartlesville, was traveling southbound on US-75. Zimmer failed to stop at the stop sign. Wertz struck the Silverado on the driver’s side door rolling it onto its side. The truck departed the roadway right and struck a light pole. Zimmer was ejected about 40 feet from the point of impact.

Bartlesville EMS transported her to Ascension St. John Jane Phillips Medical Center where she was pronounced dead upon arrival due to injuries sustained in the collision. Werts refused treatment on scene.
