Man Charged in Connection to Camera Found in Girls High School Locker Room

A Neosho, MO, man faces formal charges after a camera was found in the girls' locker room at McDonald County High School last week.

53-year-old Rodger Copeland was arrested Friday in connection to the case. Copeland is a non-teacher employee of the McDonald County School District. Copeland worked as an overnight custodian and his image was captured on recordings analyzed by investigators. In a probable cause statement from the McDonald County Sheriff's Office, Copeland told police he had placed the camera in the locker room because he wanted to look at the girls because they were pretty and he was lonely.

Copeland faces charges of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and Felony Possession of Child Pornography.

He is currently being held without bond in the McDonald County Jail.
