The Bartlesville Police Department is actively investigating what appears to be a threat of violence at a Bartlesville school.

 Bartlesville Police Captain Daniel Elkins says they are trying to determine the validity of this threat and where it may have originated.

The Oklahoma School Security Institute says many threats against schools nation-wide this week have originated outside of the schools in question and, often, outside of the states where the schools are located. However, OSSI and Bartlesville schools take all threats seriously and promote a zero-tolerance approach.
