Senator Jerry Moran takes a firm stance on a proposed national electric corridor in Kansas.

 

 The National Interest Electric Transmission Corridor or NIETC is a geographic area proposed by the U.S. Department of Energy that is expected to have transmission capacity constraints or congestion that would adversely affect consumers. Parts of the proposed corridor would run east-west across northern Kansas and north-south across western Kansas.

 

Senator Jerry Moran says he has been traveling in the potentially affected areas and has heard from those who live and work in the areas.
