Resurfacing on U.S. 160

A resurfacing project on U.S. 160 will start next week.

Kansas Department of Transportation expects to begin resurfacing work on U.S. 160 starting on Tuesday, September 3rd. The work will begin at the east city limits of Oswego and continue east for almost 15 miles, ending at the junction with U.S. 69/K-7. Project activity includes concrete repairs, milling and pavement markings. Flaggers and a pilot car operation will direct one-lane traffic through the work zone during daylight hours. Drivers can expect delays of 15 minutes or less. The road work should be finished by mid-October, weather permitting. KDOT awarded the construction contracts totaling $2.1 million to Emery Sapp & Sons Inc. and Subsidiaries of Columbia, Missouri.
