A small plane makes an emergency landing on a highway near Talequah.

The incident happened on Monday morning when the pilot lost oil pressure in his plane and was forced to make an emergency landing in the eastbound lane of the roadway. The Talequah Fire Department responded to the call and shut down traffic on the highway while the pilot repaired the plane. He was then able to take off and land at the Talequah airport.

The pilot was uninjured in the initial emergency landing.
