The Southwest Power Pool ends the Energy Emergency Alert the provider issued yesterday.

 

 Due to improved conditions across the SPP Balancing Authority, SPP has changed to a Conservative Operations Advisory. This Advisory is expected to remain in effect until 8pm tonight. Conservative Operations Advisories DO NOT require the public to conserve energy.

 

The Advisory was issued due to forecasts of potential high peak loads due to widespread high temperatures, potential increase in resource outages and potential low output from wind and other variable energy resources during peak hours.

 

Coffeyville Municipal Light and Power says it will continue to monitor the situation and prepare for any changes should they occur
