A major construction project will close South Buckeye Street in Coffeyville beginning tomorrow.
Montgomery County has been planning for several months to begin the project that will run from the Coffeyville city limits south to County Road 1450. Brandon Beurskins from the Public Works Department tells the county commission that that street will be closed until the project is finished.
The County Commission also approved to continue using the services of Circle C Paving for another year at a cost of 49 cents per square yard. Montgomery County has plans to chip seal 23 miles of county roads in 2025. Commissioner Robert Bever says Public Works should look into a different type of material for the chip seal process.
The Commission also set the date of September 9th for the 2025 budget hearing.
