The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is looking for a suspect after the man fled during his arrest.

 Officers attempted to arrest 50-year-old Matthew Myers of Galena yesterday afternoon. Myers resisted arrest and then fled into a nearby wooded area. Law enforcement conducted a search for Myers, but have not stated if he was taken into custody. Myers is wanted on outstanding warrants for aggravated sexual battery and aggravated domestic violence.
