The Arkansas City Fire Department is mourning the loss of an off-duty firefighter.

 The Ark City Fire Department stated in a press release that firefighter and EMT Trevor Rusk passed away while off-duty. The cause of death was not given. News of Rusk's death was met on social media with condolences from residents, other first responders, and state officials. The A-C-F-D says Rusk's courage, selflessness, and commitment to keeping people safe will never be forgotten.
