The Kansas Bureau of Investigation along with the Harvey County Sheriff's Office, and the Kansas Highway Patrol are investigating after a fatal crash site is discovered in rural Harvey County.

 

 Investigators were called to the scene around 2:45 yesterday afternoon after a property owner near the interchange of US-50 and I-135 found a vehicle crashed in a field on his property. Authorities found a red 2011 Chevy Silverado at the crash site, just south of Newton. A deceased male was found inside the truck.

 

Investigators have identified the owner of the vehicle, but have not yet confirmed the identity of the victim.

 

The investigation is ongoing.
