The Dearing Fire Department responds to a car fire in rural Montgomery County.

Dearing Engine 1 and Tanker 24 responded to a vehicle fire at the intersection of County Road 4500 and 1400 southwest of Coffeyville. A 1974 Z28 Camaro was engulfed in flames with the fire coming from under the vehicle. Firefighters extinguished the fire, but the car was a total loss.

Around 300 gallons of water were used to extinguish the fire. Coffeyville Regional Medical Center EMS also responded to the scene.
