AR Murder Trial Faces Multiple Delays

The murder trial of a Fayetteville, AR, man is delayed again.

31-year-old Kacey Jennings is accused of capital murder, abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, and theft in the death of his girlfriend Allison Maria Castro. Defense lawyers asked for the delay to allow for time to subpoena out-of-state witnesses.

The trial was originally set to begin in January 2023, but has been postponed several times. Jennings has pleaded not guilty in the case, after changing his mind on accepting a plea deal in April.

The murder charges stem from a call to Jennings' residence in 2022 after receiving reports of Jennings experiencing a drug overdose. During that investigation, police found documents that led them to believe Jennings had killed his ex-girlfriend.
