Authorities in Wichita have released the name of the victim whose body was found in the trunk of a car on Wednesday.

 The remains of 39-year-old Kyce Barnes were discovered just after 7am Wednesday morning in a field along West Kellogg. Barnes had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his upper and lower body and was found wrapped in bedding. Police believe Barnes was murdered in the parking lot of a nearby motel. His remains were taken to the Sedgwick County Medical Examiner's Office for further examination. Police are reviewing security footage from the motel in hopes of finding a suspect in the case. So far, no arrests have been made.
