Today is the last day to get your garage sale on Independence map for the Kan-Okla 100 Mile Highway Sale.
To list your sale for free, just stop by the Independence Chamber of Commerce before they close today. The sale is expanding this year and will start on Thursday, September 5th and continue through Saturday the 7th. Organizer Jill Wood says the sale is in its 17th year.
Wood says it's best to team up with your neighbors to get the most traffic to your sale.
Organizer JoAnne Ernest says there are still a few spots left at the Caney Valley Antique Power Association. Those having sales in Coffeyville still have a week to get on the local map. Stop by the Coffeyville Chamber of Commerce before next Friday the 30th to get your garage sale permit and be listed on the map for $5. Garage sales can always be called in during KGGF's Open Line any time before or during the sale.
