A street closure scheduled for tomorrow night has been rescinded by the Parsons City Commission.

 Dave Mattox, owner of a business in the 1700 block of Main Street, was one of several building owners who made the request to keep the street open during Moonlight Madness. He says keeping Main Street open helps keep his business open.

 Mattox says he understand the risks of having the street open.

 After a lengthy discussion, Parsons City Commissioners rescinded the road closure. Main Street will remain open with additional signage in place. 18th Street, however, will be closed on both sides of Main.
