Authorities in Nevada, MO, suspect the cause of a weekend fire that destroyed a church is arson.

 The First Christian Church in Nevada caught fire and burned early Saturday morning. Now, authorities say a man found nearby that fire may have been the one who caused it.

When firefighters arrived on scene Saturday morning to combat the blaze, they found 58-year-old Keith Caylor of El Dorado Springs, MO, standing on a nearby sidewalk. Caylor was reportedly bleeding and covered with soot. When questioned, he told police that he had broken into the church in search of a phone because he thought someone was trying to kill him. Caylor was transported to a regional hospital for treatment for his wounds. Authorities have issued a warrant for Caylor's arrest pending his release from the hospital. Charges include Felony Arson and Felony Burglary.
