The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and Craig County Sheriff’s Office are asking for your help to solve a 2008 cold case.
Leota and William Huls, both in their 60's, were found dead in their Welch, Oklahoma home November 9, 2008, when they didn’t show up for church that morning. Authorities say both were shot; Leota’s purse was never found.
The OSBI cold case unit says a Smith & Wesson SW9F was used in the killings, and asks anyone that might own one that was previously owned by someone else, to contact investigators.
They are specifically looking in northeast Oklahoma, southeast Kansas, or southwest Missouri. A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that may lead to the arrest of anyone responsible for the crime.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the OSBI at 1-800-522-8017, or tips can be emailed to tips@osbi.ok.gov.
