Two new officers are sworn in for the Coffeyville Police Department. During this week's city commission meeting, Mayor Alec Hendryx swore in new CPD Officers Kanecia Brown and Steve Johnson.

Police Chief Kwin Bromley says each potential new officer goes through a background investigation, polygraph, psych evaluation and the Chief's interview.

Bromley says after officers go through the interview process they then move on to the academy for training.  Officer Brown was pinned by her mother Cheryl Brown and Officer Johnson by his wife Stacia Johnson.
